The European Guitar Teachers Association is a professional association for teachers, performing artists and all those interested in the guitar and its music. The aim and purpose of the EGTA is to comprehensively promote the educational, artistic and scientific aspects of guitar playing. The EGTA-D eV organizes and promotes congresses, symposia, competitions and training events on current and historical topics from all areas of the instrument and participates as a national section in the events of the European umbrella organization EGTA.
The Guild of American Luthiers is a nonprofit educational membership organization whose purpose is to facilitate learning about lutherie: the art, craft, and science of stringed musical instrument building and repair. Since 1972, a source of information for makers, repairers, and restorers of all kinds of string instruments.
The Lute Society of America is an organization dedicated to the promotion of lute music in all its varied forms through performance, preservation, education and research. Events, publications, resources, newsletter.
The Lute Society, founded in October 1956 from an initiative by Diana Poulton and Ian Harwood, exists to promote the lute and its music. Members get a new member's pack of 100 pages of lute music, a quarterly magazine, Lute News, with a music supplement, and an annual journal, The Lute
